    Tamara is an educator, PhD student, and public theologian. She has served in education, business, and ministry leadership for over 18 years, blending her love for people, pedagogy, and creative arts into serving and growing a variety of communities, including co-founding an anti-racism institute. She is a doctoral student of social ethics at Vrije Universiteit- Amsterdam in conjunction with the International Baptist Theological Studies Center. She holds a Master of Theology from Emory’s Candler School of Theology and a Master of Arts in Ministry Leadership from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary.

As a dedicated and detailed professional, Tamara has experience in theological activism, curriculum creation, and in-person and online learning and mobilization strategies. Possessing a strong commitment to adult education, Tamara upholds a learner-centered educational philosophy that engages creative, embodied pedagogical methods to foster transformation. Tamara’s research interests lie at the intersection of womanist ethics and Hebrew Bible, with a particular emphasis on themes of peace-building, shalom, image of God, and redemptive aesthetics.
